People, Placements, Partnerships
“The Living in Harmony Project gives out motivation, a sense of belonging and hope. Volunteering with the project brought back my confidence and self-worth”
“I need to thank you for including me, I know I was here to help, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself, it’s been a great day”
People – volunteerng
People who are able to give their time and energy to support the delivery of our Community Wellbeing Programme play a big part in PCHP and our community. Our volunteer roles are advertised on the Volunteer Edinburgh website. We invest in our volunteers with great induction, training and support. Volunteering can be a great first step into employment or trying something new.

Placements – students
It is a great privilege to be part of someone’s journey to a new career, research or continuous professional development. Students light up our project and bring vibrancy, energy and enthusiasm for learning. We work with University of Edinburgh and Queen Margaret University to support student placements in disciplines like social work and nutrition. We are always open to ideas about joint learning, working and co-location for the benefit of the people we support. Please get in touch with the Director on hello@pchp.org.uk.
Partnerships – essential
Our partnerships mean collaborative advantage – we can often achieve so much more tackling the effects of health inequalities than would have been possible alone. We benefit from both long and developing partnerships across sectors. Shared learning and reflection is often the catalyst for new initiatives with the people we support and our funders. Our underpinning values include positivity, enthusiasm and a commitment to work flexibly and creatively to achieve our vision, often through the collaborative benefits of partnership working.
